I'm trying to come up with a few options for a logo I can use with the band. This was an old option that I might start using. It was produced after recording a session with friends back in 2005.

Bill McCumber - Bass

Some interesting facts about Bill McCumber...

He played his first paying gig in December 1963.

Bill cut his teeth in dives off of the old Memphis and Jacksonville Highway including a 9 month stint at the Club 70 and 6 months at the Top Hat.

He once opened for Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels in Little Rock, AR.

In 1968 Bill went on the road with "The Chaps" a band out of Pine Bluff, AR.

He once played the summer in Myrtle Beach, S.C. When the band broke up in September he and the drummer and went to Charleston and played pick up gigs before he decided on moving to San Francisco.

Bill played in the Bay Area for a little over a year eventually playing a gig at the ledgendary Fillmore Theater in September 1969.

He made his way back to Arkansas in 1970 and began playing with a band called Sweet Magnolia. That group cut an album for Judd Phillips Jr in 1972-73. While they were never able to sell it to a major label it was eventually released on a local label sometime after Bill left the band.

Bill McCumber was the bassist for John Good at the 2001 International Blues Challenge. The group won the Arkansas event and got to go to the semi-finals held in Memphis, TN eventually being shut-out by a band from Belfast, Ireland.
